Thursday July 15 to Monday July 19, 1999 Homestead
I neglected to write so will try to summarize what we did. Cooked and baked and baked and visited L. Left home Thurs. in a.m. heading for the Homestead. We stopped for lunch near White Sulphur Springs. I slept now and then. We spent about half an hour on the Kennedy Hill. Lee sawed off branches to accomodate his and Gary's motor homes.

The flag was flying. Joann, Hank, Don, and I think Terry and Ross came later. I slept in the outer bedroom and about froze. Friday, Saturday and Sun people were coming and going, 63 signed the "book". Dorrie came alone on Friday. Someone picked her up at the airport on Friday.

Congenial crowd. Shanda's & Kelly's baby, Tanner, was the youngest - 5 months. The men put up Cecil's and Scott Lucero's plaques. The little kids - about 10 of them spent hours sliding down the hill on corrugated cardboard. The syringas were in bloom, strawberries were ripe. Brian and Heather flew their kits, some of the men pulled knapweed. Saturday eve Lee showed slides of reunions past. He used power from his motor home.

It was a wonderful reunion. Everyone was so good to me. Terry made a mug with a picture of my painting of the house and cliff, in color - with my name, the date and the Lazy H Diamond brand on it. Some of us stayed over to Mon. We got home about 4:00.
